Most of us here know, and use, Notion I presume.
I love Notion, but there is a slight problem: it’s all online, and there isn’t a true sense of… ownership. Privacy is an issue that doesn’t get talked about enough, but I also am a person that isn’t attracted to a product solely for the factor of privacy.
Logseq is, first and foremost, a great Personal Knowledge Management software. It has such an intuitive take on knowledge management : they are centered around the concept of keywords. Wrapping a word with [[]] will automatically create a page for that particular word.
And once a page for that word has been created, you can link back to the page by hash-tagging them. If you don’t want hashtags, you don’t have to; they will be collected as ‘unlinked references’ as well. This means that if you have pages that were wrote to save information on, say, startups, but you ended up mentioning ‘battery’ through every page, the page for ‘battery’ will contain the links to the pages mentioning it as well. This means that mindmaps are fluidly created, and actually reflect your brain- instead of you having to spend time and energy to structure out the knowledge base to fit you.
